I recently attended Hope House Laurel - a place that changed my life spiritually, mentally and physically. I called 3-4 rehabilitation centers a few days prior to Hope House and they were the only place who said ‘get in here today.’ From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with total genuine love. I could feel a sincere care and love for myself and everyone else. We weren’t just clients, we were family. The people at Hope House are the guardian angels. I know for a fact not one single employee there was there for a paycheck, but there to actually and truly help someone who’s still suffering. They changed my life for the better and I am so grateful for life again.

I started drinking every weekend in college. Before I knew it I was using cocaine too, and my drinking and drugging was out of control. I dropped out of college and lost my part-time job. Everything was out of control and I had no idea how to fix it. Coming to Hope House changed everything. I got the support and the counseling I needed to find my way back from the pits of despair and addiction. Hope House has given me the foundation to rebuild my life. I truly did find hope here.

I never thought I could get through a day without drinking. I had given up hope of ever getting my life back. Now, every day is a new life. I have learned so much at Hope House, and I know that I have the strength to live without the destruction of drinking and I have found a support system that will be here when I need it.

My son was treated at Hope House in August and September last year. When he was admitted he was without hope, was addicted to heroin and had overdosed and almost lost his life. Our family was devastated. Your program saved his life. We came to visit him at every opportunity and attended the family meetings provided by Hope House. My son recently celebrated his one year anniversary of sobriety. We strongly believe that the dedication and effective counseling provided at Hope House saved his life.
